National Child Protection Week 2023

Each year NAPCAN coordinates National Child Protection Week to help all Australians understand they have a part to play in keeping our children and young people safe.

The National Child Protection Week overarching message is that ‘Every child in every community needs a fair go’, and in 2023 this is complemented by the theme of ‘Where we start matters’.

The National Child Protection Week 2023 poster and message draw on the Children’s Policy Centre research into children, childhoods and community, particularly our work on the Community Jigsaw.

Our Director, Professor Sharon Bessell will be participating in many events during National Child Protection Week, including presenting as part of a webinar panel on: Are we being clever in how we invest in keeping children safe and well?
